Pilates was developed by Joseph Pilates in the early 20th Century. It is a form of exercise and physical conditioning which aims to strengthen and balance all of the muscles in the body. Pilates is unique in the fact that this form of exercise will not only strengthen your body, but will simultaneously create leaner and more flexible muscles . Pilates will strengthen your entire body, in particular the deep core muscles which are so important to our overall posture and general fitness.
